A Trick or Treat Wedding
Hey all you girls and ghouls (sorry, couldn’t resist)! Welcome to the Halloween edition of Veil Tales with some of my favorite tricks and treats (again, very sorry) for making your Halloween wedding day spectacularly spooky! For those of you dying to have a true themed wedding, Halloween may be the perfect opportunity for you to create a unique atmosphere for your guests. It’s funny when you start to think about all the things you could possibly do for a Halloween wedding. The obvious of course is to have your guests dress up in costume. It would be great to have a photobooth at your wedding to capture all the creative outfits your guests put together (check around your local area to find photobooth rentals).
In addition to costumes, try to showcase your Halloween theme all throughout the process from your invitations to decor to cake. And even your attire if you so choose. Below are some of my favorite Halloween wedding ideas- enjoy and have a great Halloween! And remember in 2009, Halloween will be on a Saturday. Could a Hallowedding (come on, that one was good) be your perfect match?
I love this invitation that reads “Something Old Something New A Halloween Party With a Wedding Skew” If you click on the picture, you will be linked to a tutorial on how to make this invitation yourself!
This delicious cake creation is a delicious delve into the mind of Tim Burton. The movie the Corpse Bride is a wonderful inspiration movie for your Halloween wedding. I love the Gothic look and feel.
This couple used tall candle centerpieces draped in cobwebs to create an errie mood, but by using the bright pinks and purples, the couple’s happy day does not come across as gloomy. Another idae I love for centerpieces is the use of carved Jack-o-Lanterns, perhaps with your monogrammed initials.
This dress is beautiful, but that does not mean it wouldn’t work for your holiday bash. This Maggie Sottero dress has beautiful crinkled fabrics and an “old lace” feel. I love Maggie dresses!
And even if you don’t wear a costume to your own wedding, you can still incorporate hidden Halloween treats like this adorable garter from PetereneDesign. Thanks for tuning in to this Halloween edition of Veil Tales. Let us know if you have ever attended or are throwing a Halloween bash- I would love to know more details!

Interesting perspective with lots of fuel for thought. I love the wedding dress too!!!!
