Behind the Veil
About Veil Tales
VeilTales is a blog focused on delivering information for brides, grooms, nearlyweds and newlyweds. From the pre-engagement stage through to life together after the wedding, stories abound on how to deal with all the circumstances involved in getting married.
I write this blog to share my own wedding planning discoveries and finds. That being said, subjects will run from getting engaged through ordering wedding invitations and creating DIY projects. Along the way, comments and suggestions are always welcome from readers. If there is a specific subject that needs attention, feel free to contact me at veiltales@gmail.com to get involved.
Current Blogger:
Hello! I am the current Veil Tales blogger, and I’m eager to share with you my love of all things wedding! I was engaged to my wonderful fiance in January 09, and I am going to use Veil Tales as a space to share my March 2010 wedding planning adventure with all of you! My absolute favorite types of weddings are ones that include DIY projects and sentimental details. I will be writing regular posts on Veil Tales about different projects I am working on for my own wedding, and I will also be sharing my own personal experience as a bridesmaid in the Bridesmaid’s Tales portion of the blog. It will be a good read, so please stay tuned! Outside of Veil Tales, I work as a marketing associate for an internet company, and in my free time, I love reading classic novels, writing short stories, and designing new craft projects! I am secretly obsessed with Project Runway and vintage fashion, and I’m very excited to share with you my thoughts on all things wedding related.

I wrote about my January 31, 2009 wedding on Veil Tales. My fiance and I have been together for 3.5 years and are very much in love. We have so much in common, yet we are different in many ways so it is a great mix for a relationship. We both have a passion for fishing. I grew up around it because my family has been involved in fishing for a living. However, my fiancé was around fishing all of his life because his family enjoyed it as a recreation. Since we both enjoy fishing and come from families who enjoy it very much we are incorporating our favorite rod & reels into our wedding. We are so excited to surprise our family & friends with our grand entrance involving our new equipment. In fact, fishing has been in my family as far back as 1898!!! Currently, my fiancé & I own and operate a Lawn & Landscape company here in Merritt Island, Florida. We have 3 dogs whom we love very much and they are extremely spoiled. If our wedding wasn’t going to be so big and involved, we probably would have tried to incorporate our dogs into the wedding. We love them that much!

I have had so much fun posting wedding related blogs on Veil Tales! I remember weddings past as fun parties for friends and family but have come to the realization that weddings now are major productions with no detail too small to agonize over! I have two daughters who are already planning extravaganzas to rival any celebrity wedding. Thank goodness I have a few years to defer my retirement savings to a multi-million dollar wedding budget! I too want their weddings to be affairs to remember so will be doing my part to source the absolute loveliest components a wedding can offer within an affordable budget. The mother of a college junior and a high school senior, boyfriends, girl dramas and dream weddings are ever present at my house! Look for blog postings from a future mother-of-the-bride perspective. When not writing blogs I like to write children’s books, internet articles, ad copy, emails and just about anything readable.

What a talented crew. Great information.
Wedding insurance overall is not terribly expensive because it is temporary insurance until after the day of the wedding. Interestingly, this form of insurance has been very popular in Great Britain for a number of years.
